Swayam Foundation is a non-profit organisation based in Delhi-NCR, India. Established in 2015, Swayam Foundation focuses on mental healthcare, advocacy and mental health trainings.

The foundation works in the area of mental health, leading mental health trainings including suicide prevention and awareness trainings for diverse communities, offering affordable therapy and counselling, providing support to caregivers of persons with mental illness and facilitating various support groups like Suicide Bereavement Support Group and India's first therapist-led pet loss support group.

Joining Zero Suicide Alliance as a member is a powerful step toward enhancing our ongoing suicide prevention initiatives in India, where we currently offer tailored suicide prevention training for diverse populations, both onsite and online.

Becoming part of this global network would enable us to work alongside like-minded organisations, share best practices, and strengthen our training programs with evidence-based resources developed by leading experts worldwide.

Together with Zero Suicide Alliance, we can make a broader impact by contributing our insights from India while aligning with a global mission to eliminate suicide through comprehensive, inclusive, and accessible support for all.

We pledge our commitment to suicide prevention, recognising it as a critical public health crisis in India that deeply impacts families, communities, and the nation as a whole. At Swayam Foundation, we are dedicated to creating cultures of care where no one feels alone in their darkest moments.

Suicide prevention isn’t just about awareness—it’s about building safe, compassionate spaces where people feel understood, valued, and supported. We work to bring communities together to reduce stigma, educate on the importance of mental health, and make support accessible.

In a world where every connection can be a lifeline, we believe that through small acts of care, empathy, and solidarity, we can bring hope and healing to those who need it most.

At Swayam Foundation, we’re dedicated to making suicide prevention accessible and culturally relevant.

We offer Suicide Prevention First Aid (SPFA) and Advanced Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) to equip individuals with practical, life-saving skills across diverse settings.

Our unique and dynamic culture-sensitive suicide prevention model for South Asian communities—designed and piloted over the past year—addresses unique cultural and social dynamics to provide support that resonates deeply with those we serve.

Additionally, we run a Suicide Loss Support Group to help individuals who have lost loved ones to suicide find community, understanding, and healing.

Each of these initiatives brings us closer to our vision of a world where mental health support is available for all.
