East Cheshire NHS Trust
East Cheshire NHS Trust was established in 2002. It consists of three hospitals at Macclesfield, Knutsford and Congleton.
Macclesfield District General Hospital was purpose-built in the early 1980s, replacing a much older traditional infirmary.
We are a combined community and acute trust serving a population of over 470,000 people and our vision is to deliver the best care in the right place. We have over 3,000 staff complimented by a large team of volunteers working across our geographical footprint.
Our mission is to work in partnership to provide high-quality, affordable integrated services.
We provide safe, effective, and personal care to our patients. We are a community and acute trust serving a large population and our vision is to ensure our patients receive the best care in the right place. We have over 2,500 staff who work across our community settings and our three hospital sites.
The Trust’s campaign ‘Know the Signs…Suicide Prevention' aims to prevent staff suicide and promote a wellbeing culture by normalising the conversation around suicide and mental health as well as providing training, resources, and signposting for support.
Whether frontline, office, service or community based, everyone works incredibly hard to provide great care. Through ‘Know the Signs…Suicide Prevention' we are inviting mental health wellbeing conversations as common place, without fear of judgement, within all teams, departments, and roles.
Signing up to Zero Suicide Alliance and sharing the information, learning and resources the charity offers, is a crucial element of our campaign.
