Maldon and District Community Voluntary Service

Maldon and District Community Voluntary Service exists to support thriving and strong communities in the Maldon District. The charity was set up in response to a community need for voluntary sector infrastructure support. Our services are designed to support and develop the local voluntary and community sector to thrive for the benefit of local people and the towns and villages they live in.

We offer a range of services to the local sector including funding and governance advice and information cascade. We also host the districts volunteer centre to support more people to get involved in community action in the district and run a range of projects, services and activities to help people to feel well and connected to their communities.

Maldon and District Community Voluntary Service is currently funded by Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex to provide training to local residents in order to increase their awareness around this topic.

The already establish ZSA training gives a fantastic platform as to begin, we have aims that using this training in a group based scenario will further increase participants knowledge of how to handle possible situations of people expressing thoughts of suicide and hopefully resulting in preventing suicides and guide them to correct resources in given situations
