About the course
This edition of our suicide awareness training has been developed to support awareness of suicide risk for university students and includes information and scenarios that are related to experiences at university.
Who it’s for
The training has been created to support university students who maybe significantly struggling and therefore at risk of suicide. It can be taken by anyone but is partculalrly recommended if you attend university, work at a university, work with students or have a family member or friend at university.
What you’ll learn
Through the training you’ll gain basic suicide awareness and insights to better understand suicidal behaviours so you can hopefully feel more confident to:
- See the signs
- Say the words
- Signpost to support
The training aims to equip you with the skills and confidence you need to have a potentially life-saving conversation.
How long it will take
The training takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and includes a certificate on completion.
