Core elements

Suicide Bereavement UK develop and deliver evidence-based theory-driven suicide bereavement training.

The On the Go training is split into Level 1 and Level 2, which have four modules that focus on  in depth aspects of suicide bereavement, which complement the PABBS training.

Level 1 – is for those with no knowledge, a basic understanding of postvention or have an interest in a specific module. The modules include:

  • Suicide bereavement & language
  • Talking with children and young people when there has been a suicide
  • Introduction to post-traumatic growth

Level 2 - is more specialised (e.g. working with therapeutic tools).

  • Applying the ‘grief map’ model to support people bereaved by suicide
