4 Mental Health provide compassion-focussed mental health training courses and free self-help resources, with modules on wellbeing, self-harm and suicide prevention.

Bite sized-training is delivered under the program name ‘Connecting with People’, with formats available to support the needs of both clinical and non-clinical participants via a range of delivery methods; face-to-face, webinars, large scale webinar training conferences and e-learning sessions.

4 Mental Health is commissioned by UK health trusts and third sector organisations across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.

4 Mental Health - Connecting with People Training program is one of the first organisations to have successfully been awarded full QIP Accreditation in Australia, with standards and criteria defined by Suicide Prevention Australia. This being the world’s first ever national accreditation program for suicide prevention.

4 Mental Health also offer free resources:

  • Staying Safeoffers guidance on how to make your own safety plan, with additional free staying safe training materials provided to support this. This is a potentially life-saving website to help people stay safer from thoughts of self-harm or suicide.
  • #DearDistressed - a support campaign that uses letters by people with lived experience to support others with thoughts of ending their life
  • U Can Cope - hear from people who have also struggled with their own mental health and are now living the life they want to lead
  • Wellbeing and Coping - discover ways to  feel calmer and ideas to help you cope. This ​​offers practical, calming, and compassionate advice to anyone struggling emotionally and/or wanting support in managing their wellbeing.

The aim of the ZSA Resources is to introduce users to a range of existing and new resources with a connection to supporting people with their mental health, bring awareness to and help prevent incidences of suicide.  The ZSA do not endorse individual resources but instead aim to present standardised information to enable the user to make an informed decision over its use.
