October 2025 training - a review

During October, ZSA training was taken 22,503 times - a testament to the growing commitment to suicide prevention and mental health awareness.

This month’s feedback highlighted how the training is helping people feel more confident, informed, and empowered to support others. One participant captured the spirit of the programme perfectly:

“This has been excellent, and from someone who has been in that situation of trying to take their own life, this is a must for everybody, and I will recommend it to as many people as I can.”

Another reflected on the shift in mindset the training inspired:

“The training changed my focus on suicide and showed me that it can be prevented. It has also given me the confidence to have conversations around suicide and how to recognise the signs.”

Other testimonials included…

“Very good training. Hopefully we can reduce the stigma around people talking about their mental health.”

“Helpful. I like the part of that even a stranger can help. Not just friends or people we know.”

“The training was concise, with specific examples, which makes it easier to understand the situation and gives you the courage to talk to someone.”

“I thought this course was a great help. Before, I would have been scared to talk about suicide, but now I know how important it is.”

“This training is extremely important. We have lost so many people through suicide while we thought there was nothing we could do.”

“I think everyone should access this or similar training as suicide prevention is something we all can and should be part of.”

“Very informative and it has helped build my confidence.”

“This was a fantastic course… I’ve been working on getting everyone I know to complete it.”
